Short Description

This position aims to provide technical expertise and support to customers throughout the lifecycle of a product or service. The Application Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring satisfaction, resolving technical issues, and optimizing the performance and functionality of the products or services offered by the company.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide the application support productions/solutions
  • Analyze and troubleshoot customers' issues via phone/email and site support
  • Understand and analyze customer requirements concerning product/solution capabilities and specifications
  • Collaborate with both sales departments and customers to identify technical requirements, develop solutions, and design & develop applications that effectively accomplish customers' needs and objectives
  • Plan, provide and deliver training on existing and new products, applications, and competitive information for different stakeholders, which includes but not limited to customers, partners, salespeople, engineers of both OMRON and business partners
  • Develop, update and disseminate technical guides & tips to increase the knowledge and skill level of the sales force via company intranet and/or electronic newsletter
  • Evaluate newly released products and develop/modify new product training kits or materials through coordination with HQ
  • Support sales representatives with on-site demonstrations and programming for customers as needed

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in a technical field
  • Strong technical knowledge in the automation industry
  • Diploma/degree in Engineering discipline (Mechatronics/Electrical)
  • Knowledgeable in Windows applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to changing technologies and environments
  • Able to manage complex application support with a wide product range
  • Willing to travel to customer sites for on-site support, as required
