Job Title:  Engineer- Application

Short Description

Job Responsibilities:
1.    To study and suggest design & application development as per the vision systems requirement of the customer, prepare the documentation and commission it within the TAT to the customer’s premises.
2.    Conduct in-depth application studies with customers to understand their automation needs and implement the appropriate solution using Vision, robots and other automation products.
3.    To provide application demo and pre-sales support to local sales representatives for selection of best configuration of automation hardware, vision systems, and Automation solutions. 
4.    To check the blueprints of the application project of the customers, keeping a check on the project execution in coordination with channel partner engineer.
5.    To provide technical support to end users, OEM customers and channel partners on phone / email/ visiting the site.
6.    To conduct training programs & technical presentation for customers.
7.    To prepare & conduct Skill upgradation trainings to Channel Partners & Internal Sales team.
8.    To conduct and manage end-to-end product demo- presentation, trials, road shows, trade shows.
9.    To coordination with internal departments of Omron to ensure the project application is executed and positioned effectively.
10.    Submission of monthly reports, success stories, & PoC document.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification:
- B.E. OR Equivalent Diploma in E&E or E&C

Work Experience:
- 4 to 7 years of experience in Vision teaching, programming and installation & commissioning of Vision Systems.
- Knowledge of Industrial Networking and communications like Device Net, Modbus, Profi-bus, Profi-net, Ethernet, EtherCAT etc.
- Experience,  understanding and in-depth knowledge of vision applications in Automotive, F&C and digital Industry.  
- Experience / Strong knowledge on Vision guided robotic applications is desirable.
- OMRON vision product  knowledge would be an added advantage

Functional Competencies:
- Knowledge of Machine vision systems & Solutions, Networking protocols like device net, EIP, TCP/IP, E-Cat etc is essential.
- Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, Servo Drives, Motion, Robotics programming for Scara, Articulated, Parallel, Cobots and AMR Knowledge of C#, .NET, Pythons will be of added advantage.

Behavioural Competencies:
- Good Communication & Presentation skills with an eye for details. 
- Ability to work under pressure, target oriented and dedicate extra hours if needed on assignments.
