Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Define and drive strategic business growth based on local market conditions, competitive landscape, and company initiatives.
- Develop targeted sales strategies and application-focused marketing plans for robotics and automation solutions.
- Analyze market trends, customer segments, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and refine positioning.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive engagement with customers, combining commercial and technical discussions.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through networking, marketing initiatives, and direct outreach.
- Establish relationships with new customers and key stakeholders across end users, system integrators, OEMs, and channel partners.
- Participate in industry events and maintain awareness of competitor activities to support business growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals that align with customer needs and company capabilities.
Account Management
- Manage and grow key accounts within the industrial automation sector, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, regularly reviewing their needs and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Coordinate with partners, distributors, and vendors to strengthen overall solution offerings and customer value.
Technical Sales Support
- Assess customer automation requirements and recommend appropriate robotics solutions aligned with their operational goals.
- Work closely with Application Engineers and internal teams to ensure technical feasibility, solution alignment, and smooth project execution.
- Provide ongoing technical support to customers, addressing challenges with practical and timely solutions.
- Support opportunity qualification to ensure alignment between customer needs and company capabilities.
Performance Reporting and Market Positioning
- Track, manage, and report on sales activities and pipeline performance using CRM systems.
- Deliver regular performance reports with insights to support decision-making and strategy refinement.
- Monitor market developments and emerging technologies to enhance competitive positioning and sales effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering discipline (Mechatronics/Electrical/Robotic)
- At least 3-years’ experience in Technical Applications Sales function (preferably in robotics or automation)
- Experience in system integration or OEM or a related field.
- Good Sales Management Capabilities
- Ability to lead advanced sales discussions and high-level customer engagements
- Good Communication & Presentation skills with an eye for details.
- Strong desire to learn continuously
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site visit or business discussion, as required (50% - 70%)
