For the establishment of sustainable growth in battery business in the EMEA region, we are looking for a

 

Business Development Manager - Battery (f/m/d)

 

You will report to the Industry Sales Manager EMEA – e-Mobility and work from your home-office.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and close Battery investments opportunities by managing the related Ecosystem and Stakeholders 
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with key C-Level decision-makers in the Battery Manufacturing Industry Ecosystem (EU’s, OEMs, Line Integrators, and other Industry Partners)
  • Support Sales teams to align the EV battery Value propositions with local market trends and meet EV Battery customer demands 
  • Develop networking/collaboration across Business Units and countries that ensure collaboration and alignment to deliver on EV Battery goals 
  • Deploy electric vehicle battery sales plans and meet key ambitions including integration of OMRON Automation solutions/products 
  • Ensure we become a true solution advisor/provider to key EV Battery Manufacturers in EMEA 
  • Develop regional talents on EV Battery within EMEA; lead and manage the people to ensure we have right level of competencies
  • Deploy the entire cross-BU EV battery value proposition to the targeted System Integrator, OEMs and End Users 

 

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with technical focus
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the Automotive Industry
  • Proven track record of success in business development, as well as strong relationships with key decision-makers in Automotive and Battery manufacturing industry ecosystems 
  • Familiar with the EV Battery process, customer challenges & pain points, internal constraints, and opportunities within Automotive & EV Battery segment 
  • Strong relationship-building, networking skills, communication and people management capabilities 
  • Structured, agile, organized, and comfortable operating in matrix environment  
  • Obtain alignment and work effectively across teams and functions 
  • Demonstrate strong personal Leadership  
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English is required and additional languages would be beneficial
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work and collaborate in complex multi-cultural network 
  • Ability to open C-level doors and influence C-level decision makers 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Learning the EV Battery production process and appropriate the EV battery value proposition
  • Supporting our Sales EMEA organization to deploy projects
