Short Description
Job Responsibilities:
The Manager - Finance & Accounting is responsible for the implementation, maintaining and compliance of the internal financial processes and policies of a specific country. He/she manages the full set of accounting activities, establishes controls and ensures compliance to internal and external rules.
He/she leads the final consolidation and reporting of the financial internal reporting including actual, forecasts and budgets. He/she initiates and leads improvement projects in terms of operational efficiencies.
- Ensure that the financial and accounting policies are accurate, well documented, consistently applied in the organization and in conformity with applicable accounting standards. Ensure training and communication to the business and monitor discipline. Examples are cost control processes, corporate credit card policy.
- Manage audit processes (Internal- and External audit) and ensure compliance with required standards on financial internal controls (J-SoX, US GAAP, OGR). Establish strong internal controls over the business financials and processes to comply with accounting and internal policies.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports (P&L and BS) and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action. Ensure financial reconciliation.
- Manage timely reporting of the actuals, forecast and budget as well as balance sheet schedules to head office in required formats.
- Finance data maintenance related to general ledger in line with Omron Accounting policies and local compliance. Coordinate data alignment with OHS in Singapore.
- Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to corporate policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Academic Qualification: Master's degree in finance management or accounting
- Extensive working experience in an international commercial environment
- Proven skills in process and compliance management
- Strong accounting knowledge and experiences
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (JD Edwards)
- Proficient in English language, both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
- Flexible. able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Remains flexible to deal with changing business requirements and can manage task variation and prioritize to ensure critical work tasks are completed on time, accurately and completely.
