OMRON is now seeking a highly motivated Treasury Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting Team.

You will be a part of OMRON´s EMEA Finance & Accounting team in the Treasury department, which is located at its European Headquarters in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands. The Treasury team is supporting all Business Units and entities in the EMEA Region including Turkey and South Africa.

The Treasury Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day activities at operational level and supports the Treasurer with other strategic & project activities including continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities include daily and monthly monitoring & reporting activities, analysis of OMRON’s financial activities to optimize its cash position and mitigate financial risks, liaison with business and banking stakeholders to answer, clarify and investigate questions and queries as well as assisting managing financial transactions such as loans and currency hedging in accordance with strict policies, and working closely with banking partners to manage account opening, closing and maintenance activities and regulatory requirements.

 

Summary Of Duties and Responsibilities

 

1. Cash Management

  • Multicurrency Cash Pool Balance monitoring
  • Monitoring Credit lines and Intercompany loans
  • Cash Flow Forecasting
  • Payment monitoring and handling of queries related to payments with internal and/or external parties
  • Service requests regarding bank transactions (Direct debits, Standing Orders and/or Bank Guarantees)

 

2. Bank Relationship

  • Assisting during bank account opening/closing procedures
  • KYC & other regulatory requirements
  • Bi-weekly service meetings to align action points
  • Daily follow up of questions and queries.

 

3. FX Risk Management

  • Supporting Treasurer with regards to FX exposure management & hedging
  • Executing monthly/quarterly FX deals (Spot, forward)
  • Support with FX risk monitoring & reporting activities
  • Ensuring compliance with strict global policies and internal control procedures.

 

4. Treasury Reporting and Other

  • Daily and monthly reporting on Cash Pool and Cash Flow Forecasting
  • Settlements and Valuations reporting
  • Process ad-hoc information requests
  • Collaboration during Audit processes and J-SOX assessments
  • Involvement in internal and external stakeholder communication
  • Supporting and advising stakeholders with respect to Treasury policies & procedures
  • Supporting continuous improvement of Treasury policies, processes and procedures
  • Safeguard the internal control structure and environment

 

Required Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Business Economics
  • 3-5 years of working experience within Treasury or similar function and in an international environment
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • Curious, analytical, good communication skills and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to focus on essentials and prioritize appropriately
  • Dedicated team player with an energetic approach, pro-active, confident and mature, able to work autonomously
  • Comprehensive knowledge of O365 suite of tools.
