Your role as Order-to-Cash Representative

At OMRON our dynamic and international Supply Chain team is looking for a strong Order-to-Cash Representative. In this position, your focus will be on handling all OTC related tasks concerning export countries towards Distributors and Retail business customers in the EMEA region. For this role a good command of English is needed (additional languages desirable but not essential).

 

The Order-to-Cash Representative executes the order-to-cash cycle for assigned customers including sales orders, purchase orders, allocation, transportation and billing process. Builds relationships with customers by actively engaging on operational topics.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Process orders and invoices in ERP system & customer portals, ensure that daily operational business is managed correctly and effectively according to OTC rules and procedures. Monitor credit hold issues and resolve billing discrepancies. Communicate feasible fulfilment schedules. Confirm or cancel orders in case of product shortages.
  • Take responsibility for accounts, support and inform customers in a timely, clear and concise manner, and act as the first point of contact for any account queries (pre-sales, order and post-sales related). Enter accruals in ERP system and order confirmations and cycle billing in customer portals.
  • Pro-actively liaise with internal contacts/clients/logistical service providers to tailor services and deliverables in accordance with the business guidelines. Work with supply planning team to confirm product availability and actively engage with customers to shape orders in line with feasibility.
  • Responsible for the Supply Chain team's master data maintenance in JDE (customer, item, price, order). Support with report generating and analysis for assigned market(s) / account(s).
  • Initiate, support and execute Order-to-Cash-related improvement projects and support the other members of the Order-to-Cash team in their day-to-day operational issues / queries.
  • Responsible for the Customer Service customer satisfaction for assigned customers. Define and implement CAPA’s to improve the Net Promoter Score (NPS). Solve customer complaints and follow-up on customer feedback. Actively engage with customers to capture market developments and customer needs.
  • Every order-to-cash representative can be assigned a specific task related to their position for which he/she will be responsible.

 

The ideal candidate will have

  • A Higher vocational /professional education(Bachelor Degree)
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a OTC role, ideally in a B2B environment (distributors, wholesalers, retailers, etailers).
  • Experience/knowledge of export and incoterms and payment methods and documentary credits, such as letter of credit and cash against documents.
  • An eye for details, good analytical skills, Knowledge of order fulfilment / administrative process.
  • Experience working in an international business environment (EMEA) in a high-pace, dynamic and changing environment.
  • Proficient English both written and spoken.
  • Strong culture sensitive communication skills and a professional approach to customers.
  • Good knowledge of Excel (Microsoft Office), as well as good knowledge of an ERP system (JD Edwards is a definite advantage).
