About you
We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Controller to join our EMEA HQ finance team based in Hoofddorp. Are you data driven with a key eye for detail and willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute to improvement? If so, we have the role for you.


Your role
As Junior Controller you will support the Finance Team in financial reporting and controlling activities. You will also play an active role in the planning process. Next to the financial controlling activities this role will support the Financial Controller in the compliance of the financial processes and the internal audit process.


Key Activities
•Actively supports in the financial closing procedures of 5 reporting entities. Takes care of reconciliation of sales, controlling of accrued and prepaid positions and other relevant closing procedures.
•Performs cost controlling and analysis on various areas such as rebates and SG&A.
•Supports the finance team in the planning process forecasting of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash-Flow.
•Coordinates the internal audit process. Provides support in documentation and review of standard operating procedures.
•Owner of the non-stock purchase order process. Supports users of this process and follow-up on outstanding issues.
•Contributes to the team by working on ad hoc tasks as required.

 

The ideal candidate would have:
•A relevant bachelor’s degree, e.g., in accounting or control. 
•At least 2-4 years’ work experience in an international commercial environment.
•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially in Excel (advanced user).
•Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards, but this is not essential).
•Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
•Effective and direct communication skills.
•Self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative.
•Strong analytical thinking. 
•Flexible, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Ability to work in a matrix organization.
•Experience with business intelligence software Tableau (or similar) is desirable but not essential.
•Continuous improvement mentality.
