IT End User Technology Specialist
Introduction
OMRON is seeking a highly motivated End User Technology (EuT) specialist to join its IT team.
Omron operates with a central IT team while outsourcing various IT functions. In this dynamic IT environment, the role requires overseeing EuT coordination tasks, ensuring the management and optimization of our end-user device ecosystem. You will be instrumental in coordinating with key suppliers, driving improvements, managing complex problems, and collaborating closely with the wider Digital Workplace team to align our technology solutions with evolving business needs.

As IT End User Technology specialist your responsibilities will be as below.
Device & Systems Management:
- Oversee the technical lifecycle of end-user hardware, imaging to (post)deployment.
- Coordinate our EuT management platform
- Strong knowledge in Tanium and SCCM platforms is preferred
- Help develop, maintain, and deploy standardized operating system images and application packages for Windows
- Help to ensure all endpoints are kept up to date with the latest OS versions, security patches, and software updates in a timely and structured manner.
- Maintain and develop mobile phone enrolment (iPhone/Android) on our MDM platform (Intune and Apple Business Manager)
- Primary contact for printers incl coordination of issues and development of follow me print solution
Supplier & Vendor Coordination:
- Act as a primary point of contact for EuT hardware and software suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors to schedule, test, and implement changes, service improvements, and new software rollouts.
- Evaluate new technologies and solutions from suppliers, providing recommendations to enhance our digital workplace.
- Hold vendors accountable for service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
Problem Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex end-user computing issues that cannot be resolved by the service desk.
- Proactively monitor the EuT environment to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and refine processes to improve efficiency, security, and the overall end-user experience
Digital Workplace Collaboration:
- Partner with the Digital Workplace team, business analysts, and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and challenges.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions, contributing to the strategic roadmap for the end-user environment.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of modern workplace solutions, such as collaboration tools, unified communications and video conferencing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical standards, procedures, and user guides.
Printer management:
- Coordination of the management of hardware
- Ensure smooth operations of printers and follow-me-print solution
Required education, knowledge and experience
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in IT
- 3-5+ years of working experience in an End User Computing, Desktop Engineering, or a similar technical role in an international organization.
- Professional proficiency in English language
- Strong expertise in managing modern operating systems: Windows 10/11
- Experience with UEM/MDM platforms and best practices. (SCCM, Intune, Tanium)
- Solid understanding of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Group Policy Objects (GPO), and related identity services.
- Understanding of scripting for automation in an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions (Antivirus, EDR, Disk Encryption).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ITIL or other relevant certifications (preferred).
- Work from OMRON Headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
- The candidates must be eligible to work in The Netherlands.
