As Lead Engineer within Product Engineering, you will be leading complex product changes, new product introductions and improvement projects within the manufacturing facilities of OMN.


What makes this position unique?

With your technical background, you are the project lead/manager that is able to draw the project outline, motivate and lead multi-disciplinary teams, and keep all stakeholders up to date with the progress of your projects. You will be the bridge between R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Supply chain and the Sales department to deliver your projects with the right quality, on time and within cost.


What will you do?

  • Lead new product introductions, phase out and complex changes within our production facilities
  • You manage and build strong relationships between key stakeholders
  • With your technical knowledge, be a critical analyst of your projects
  • Proactively create cost down initiatives in collaboration with the Purchasing department
  • Be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams to expand our product portfolio
  • Lead QCD improvements of the assigned products
  • Create effective and professional project plans and manage them accordingly
  • You are a communicator by heart; reporting on projects status and deliverables to provide internal and external stakeholders insight into a project’s progress and results


What are we looking for?

  • Minimum a Bachelor technical degree e.g. Mechanical engineering, Electronical Engineering or Software Engineering
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience as engineer
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience working in an dynamic and changing environment.
  • Methodical in your approach, with excellent judgment and good communication skills
  • Good understanding of the English (mandatory) and Dutch language (preferred), both in speaking and writing.


You preferably bring the following experience:

  • Experience and knowledge with complex electro/mechanical systems
  • Experience working with other cultures and time zones
  • Basic knowledge on electronic/mechanical assembly processes
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly/assembly processes
  • Project management training/certificates
