Inventory Planner

Are you ready to optimize inventory and supply planning processes? As an Inventory Planner at OMRON, you’ll take charge of the entire inbound material chain, translating customer demands into actionable short-, medium-, and long-term plans while proactively identifying and addressing potential risks. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain to align forecasts with supply strategies, safeguarding operational continuity and efficiency in our manufacturing business.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Translate the S&OP manufacturing production plan into a detailed component inventory plan, considering stock agreements, service levels, and production capacities.
  • Manage inventory classification and safety stock processes.
  • Collaborate with the S&IOP Lead and Master Production Scheduler to provide accurate availability information for production planning.
  • Prevent production delays by addressing supply risks across a diverse product range and complex bills of material.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply risks due to quality investigations, engineering changes, last-time buys, and new product introductions in consultation with cross-functional teams.

This role is essential to maintaining seamless operations and driving supply chain efficiency.

Who are you?

To excel as an Inventory Planner, you bring a strong foundation in logistics and a knack for analytical thinking. Specifically, we are looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of MBO+ education in Logistics or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience.
  • Solid logistics expertise, ideally gained in a similar organizational setting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and other internal software, as well as MS Office applications.
  • Experience with additional software tools relevant to inventory and supply planning is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
