At our Research & Development department in Den Bosch, the heart of our company’s innovation, we develop cutting-edge technologies and products—including industrial PCs, HMI systems, AI-driven solutions, mobile and fixed robotics, and system integration. These advancements empower our B2B clients to build state-of-the-art machinery. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Group Lead R&D who will be responsible for driving the development of the next generation of digital applications and their integration.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Lead digital application development and integration with industrial PCs, robotics, AI, and vision, from concept to product.
- Oversee multidisciplinary development projects and engineers, ensuring collaboration across international teams in Europe, the USA, and Japan.
- Align vision, strategy, and roadmaps while working closely with global marketing, key customers, regional sales and marketing teams, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with product marketing to explore opportunities, promote the portfolio, and champion our technologies.
Who are you?
- You hold a BSc or higher in Computer Science or a related field and have a clear vision of Industry 4.0.
- With 10+ years of experience, you are a natural leader with a strong background in software development, system validation, and IoT security.
- You are familiar with Agile practices like Scrum and Kanban and excel in structured, result-oriented problem-solving with strong judgment and communication skills.
- Comfortable in an international setting, you are proficient in Dutch (B2 level) and English, both spoken and written.
- You are responsible, proactive, and willing to travel occasionally to collaborate with OMRON locations, partners, and key customers.
