Job Title: Business Controller - Manufacturing

Purpose of the role
As business controller, you report to the managing director of OMRON’s manufacturing location in Den Bosch, being a key member of the local management team. The factory (155 employees) is located on an OMRON site, where R&D, Supply Chain, ISD, and marketing have their offices. The factory currently provides manufacturing services (40M€/yr) to OMRON’s global businesses. Its strategy is to expand, as part of our SF 2030 strategy, the current volume and variety of services. Under your responsibility from a business controller perspective, you are accountable for timely delivery of monthly reports, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. You will lead and further develop the business controlling team (2 FTE) in line with the expansion strategies and add value to stakeholders by continuous, thorough analyses of business results vs. budget and demonstrate financial leadership in the management team.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the local Business Controlling team.
- Drive the end-to-end business development of the factory.
- Ensure integrity of the monthly financial closure.
- Ensure robust budget & forecasting processes (quarterly & annually) and control.
- Provide analysis and/or proposals of (transfer)pricing, margin and profit.
- Analyze actual KPIs, against budget/ forecast and provide timely information to stakeholders.
- Challenge and support stakeholders and ensure that corrective actions are taken.
- Provide analysis to support business decisions and where relevant take the lead in implementation.
- Ensure compliance and control on business processes (J-SOX, OMRON Group Rules, inventory evaluation, payroll, payments, governance etc.).
Desired Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in finance.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Managerial and leadership skills.
- Familiar with SAP S4 HANA is a plus.
- Robust financial reporting skills (US GAAP or IFRS).
- Good knowledge of business, financial and operational accounting processes.
- Customer-oriented, result driven, accurate and cost awareness is a must.
- Ability to effectively operate, switch and communicate across all levels.
- Experience working for an Asia company is a plus.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English.
