Short Description
Job Responsibilities
1. Visit Customers and Identify challenges (20%)
1.1. Proactively identify opportunities to visit customers independently or in conjunction with Omron sales team.
1.2. Identify client needs and prepare Safety Service proposals to support them, ensuring Omron best possible positioning among competitors.
1.3. Generate proposal documents and deliver support to the customer according to provided pricing guidelines, methodology and tools.
2. Machine Risk assessment (40%)
2.1 Audit of machines and identify hazards, quantify, and assess risk levels related to the machine’s use and key phases of its lifecycle.
2.2 Propose practical and safe remedial or corrective actions in compliance with applicable International & local machinery safety standards.
2.3 Report findings, assessments and recommendations through provided templates and in accordance with Omron process procedures.
3. Remediation & Validation (25%)
3.1 Along with Engineering & Solutions team deliver one stop solution by providing support in understanding MRA report, generating safety BOM, prepare PMP and lead the Remediation project in compliance to the international and local machinery safety standards.
3.2 Identify and develop vendor for remediation job of the project.
3.3 Performing machine validation post remediation, prepare and submit report to the customer.
4. Provide Training to Customers (10%)
4.1 Provide training to Omron customers on machinery safety to help increase their competence.
4.2 Present and actively promote Omron service and product solution portfolio.
5. Accurate reporting and fulfilment of administrative tasks (5%)
5.1 Coordinate with Finance, Legal and Supply Chain departments to ensure on time delivery of service.
5.2 Accurately fill service form details dedicated to reporting of working hours, incurred expenses, and any other relevant information.
5.3 Promptly escalate any occurrence or schedule change that might result in delayed invoicing or have any impact on the wider Team or the business.
Job Requirements
B.E. OR B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics/ ECE/ Mechatronics
Professional Safety Certification (ex. TUV FSE, CMSE) - mandatory
Minimum 10+ years of experience in the field of Industrial Automation
Minimum 5+ years of experience as machinery safety consultant
Project management planning & control
Work experience and knowledge of applicable industrial machinery safety standards (EN, ISO, etc.)
Strong electrical / controls background associated with industrial machinery (PLC, Electrical Switchgears, Servos, Mechanical, Pnematics and hydraulic)
Ability to generate technical proposal/Scope of work based on User Requirement Specifications (URS)
Detail-orientation
Travel required as per business purpose
Required to be 80% of the time at customer site and 20% at vendor site
