Job Title:  [OEE-ES] Robotics Field Application Services (Robotics FAE)

Purpose of the role: The candidate will be responsible for providing high‑level technical support, maintenance, and onsite services for our robotic systems across Catalonia and surrounding regions, ensuring maximum uptime and performance for our clients. The candidate will also participate in pre‑sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support and Onsite Services

  • Perform onsite verification of robotic systems at client facilities.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure long‑term reliability of the OMRON robotics portfolio.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving robotics, controllers, vision systems, and safety devices.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware and software malfunctions in production environments.

Client Success and Lifecycle Management

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and system integrators regarding after‑sales services.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Application teams to identify opportunities for system upgrades or retrofits.
  • Manage onsite interventions and coordinate with the European technical support center when deep‑level factory analysis is required.

Field Work and Reporting

  • Maintain a strong field presence, engaging directly with customers to solve operational challenges.
  • Prepare detailed service reports documenting interventions, replaced parts, and technical recommendations.
  • Manage local tools and equipment required for service missions.

Training and Continuous Improvement

  • Deliver technical training to customers’ maintenance teams to support basic troubleshooting.
  • Deliver technical training to System Integrators on the OMRON robotics portfolio.
  • Stay updated on the latest firmware, software updates, and safety regulations (ISO/CE) related to industrial robotics.

 Profile

Education

  • High school diploma + ITS in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Electronics.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in field service or maintenance within an Automation and Robotics environment.

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of robotic mechanics.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking, exceptional problem‑solving abilities, and a customer‑centric mindset.

Languages

  • Native/Fluent Spanish and optionally Catalan.
  • English level B2 or higher (for technical documentation and internal communication).

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
