Job Title: MRO Sales Manager - Industrial Automation

Short Description
As the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of Omron Industrial Automation division. This role involves understanding customer needs, and business practice together with having a technical background in industrial automation, IIoT systems, and experience with industrial automation products (such as PLC, Sensors, Visions, HMI etc.). You will lead a high-performing team to identify new and existing business opportunities, existing accounts, collaborate with distributors’ partners and ensure our clients’ plants remain in operation. This role requires a blend of technical fluency in Electronics and Automation components and a proven track record of hitting aggressive sales targets through team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to maintain and expand market share in the MRO sector.
- Provide mentorship and performance management for a team, ensuring they meet individual KPIs and professional development goals.
- Held responsible for allocated Customer MRO Sales Accounts taking necessary actions to drive sales growth by competitor conversion and strong account management.
- Expand customer base by opening new customer MRO Sales Accounts.
- Achieve or exceed MRO sales targets for bookings, sales, and profitability for the business unit.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, supply chain, Japanese account, services team, distributors and customers ensuring seamless communication to achieve desired results.
- Cooperate with and support the disty in developing the Mutual Action Plan (MAP).
- PDCA monitoring to ensure that all Action Plans, MAPs, and Sales Activities are well implemented. Monthly progress review, gap analysis, identify issues and create the Countermeasure Plan
- Searching and studying for the new business opportunity together with Disty: the new product launch, new application proposal, and new market penetration.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with Distributors / Partners by providing guidance, information, support, and quotation in MRO for the automation industry.
- Make technical and sales presentations and demonstrations to our channel partners’ and customers' technical staff.
- Commitment to implement the sales plan regarding the company strategy, tactics, and directions.
- Drive the entire sales process from initial contact, contract negotiation, and final sale closing.
- Skill and Experience in identifying opportunities to win back customers.
- Finding the bottleneck of sales progress and taking appropriate action or initiating creative solutions to overcome challenges.
- Commit to standard sales activities with consistent customer visits and calls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Highly motivated, aggressive front-facing sales characteristics
- At least 7-10 years’ experience in Industrial Automation & MRO Sales function
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in Managerial level or leading sales team
- Knowledge in channel partner management, price agreement, preferably in the electrical or electronic component parts
- Proven track record in sales specifically for product lifecycle sales, obsolescence management, install-base, and retrofit opportunities.
- Master the local procurement lifecycle for OPEX and CAPEX
- Basic Engineering knowledge with experience in industrial Automation
- Building cohesive teams via mentorship and leadership development
- Strong understanding of plant operational requirements
- When required or on a need-to basis, the ability to travel upcountry or overseas for business trips.
