Short Description

Import & International Logistics

#Manage end-to-end import shipments from overseas factories to India. # Coordinate with factories, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and airlines. # Select the most appropriate transportation mode (Air/Sea) based on customer requirements, # Monitor shipment schedules and proactively mitigate delays, # Ensure complete shipping documentation before cargo dispatch, # Track shipments until final customer delivery.

Customs & Regulatory Compliance

#Coordinate customs clearance through CHA, # Ensure compliance with: Customs regulations, DGFT requirements, GST regulations, FEMA requirements (where applicable), Import licenses and certifications # Verify HS Codes, duty calculations, and exemption benefits, # Maintain complete import documentation for statutory audits.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

#Manage third-party warehouse operations, # Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, # Monitor stock levels and replenishment. # Improve inventory turnover while minimizing excess inventory. # Ensure proper storage conditions for electronic components.

Domestic Logistics

#Plan dispatches to customers and distributors, # Coordinate transporters for on-time delivery, # Monitor logistics cost and delivery performance. # Resolve transportation issues proactively.  # Optimize freight costs without compromising customer commitments.

Logistics Cost Management

#Prepare logistics budgets, # Negotiate freight rates with logistics partners. # Monitor Air vs Sea shipment costs. # Identify cost reduction opportunities. # Improve logistics efficiency without impacting customer service.

Vendor Management

#Manage relationships with: Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Transporters, Warehouse Service Providers # Conduct periodic performance reviews. # Drive continuous improvement with logistics partners.

Process Improvement

#Develop SOPs for logistics operations. # Drive digitalization and automation initiatives. # Improve logistics KPIs through Lean methodologies. # Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions

Academic & Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
•Minimum 10-12 years’ working experience in Logistics, Supply Chain management, import & export experience may be considered.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international logistics including Import/Export regulations, FTA, Taxation regulation, BOI privilege, as well as the customs clearing process. Experience in the regulatory process of the electromechanical products or semiconductors components is preferable. Experience of managing 3rd party warehouses, inventory control, and transportation.
• Experience in electronic components industry and  a relevant professional business administration certification is a plus.
