As a Supply Planner, you are part of the Purchasing Department of the Industrial Automation Business (IAB) in Europe. You will be operationally responsible for the supply of mechanical and/or electronical parts to our manufacturing. You translate requirements from production planning to demand to our suppliers, place orders accordingly and follow up supply according to this demand. As Supply Planner you are responsible for first escalation and problem solving with the suppliers in case their commitment or delivery does not match our requested demand. You oversee inventory of raw material, sub material and processed parts at both Omron and suppliers, and facilitate logistics and warehouse processing for components incoming.

 

Key performance indicator in this role is to control availability of the products according to set service levels or beyond for the materials/categories assigned to you as supply planner.

 

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Handle request from production or projects to reschedule in-/out material deliveries and align with suppliers;
  • Balance raw materials and component orders/inventory level to meet customer service requirements in line with inventory- and financial targets;
  • Support the maintenance of our systems;
  • Liaise with other departments to achieve the department and organization goals and KPI’s;
  • Communicate with the different Omron departments, forwarders and our logistic partner to collect and provide the needed data for inbound.

 

Who are you?

  • Intermediate Vocational Education (MBO+) in Logistics, or equivalent based on relevant knowledge and experience in a similar organisation OR
  • Fresh graduate (BSc/BBa, MSc/Mba) with a graduation focus on supply management;
  • Excellent communication skills in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Proactive and flexible attitude;
  • Being able to work accurately under pressure;
  • Familiar with several ERP applications and proficient in Excel and reporting tools;
  • Computer literate i.e. knowledge of internal computer software (BaaN, SAP, work order management, Cognos, MS Office);
  • Proficiency in English. Dutch is a plus.
