Key activities:
- Work closely with the Finance Director to create and review financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for commercial activities. Provide valuable insights for operational and strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, identify commercial risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Manage sales and margin reporting, analysing actual results and identifying trends. Offer insights on sales performance, profitability, and potential risks to senior management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering financial insights and recommendations. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop informative financial reports and dashboards for senior management and the commercial team, aiding strategic planning.
- Identify and monitor KPIs to measure commercial operations' effectiveness. Implement monitoring systems for performance assessment and improvement.
- Lead projects to enhance cost control, margin improvement, and process efficiency. Develop and monitor KPIs for growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, identify commercial risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Manage and coach the sales support position(s) that are part of the finance department.
Ideal candidate would have:
- Master’s degree in economics, Business Finance and/or Accounting management
- Extensive working experience (7-10 years) in an international commercial environment.
- Several years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or related roles, preferably in a commercial or business-focused environment
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (JD Edwards)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both written and verbal (English) to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
- People management skills: inspiring, guiding, and empowering individuals and teams to achieve their full potential and foster a positive work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
